Canoe along the Vrljika River

A diet that is primarily based on raw vegetables and fruits is proven to be the healthiest, especially if it includes organically grown plants, and there is nothing healthier than wild plants that grow in nature devoid of pollution. Compared to EU countries, Dalmatia has a much less developed industrial production and a sparser population, which results in large areas of preserved nature without excessive construction and polluted air. At the same time, it is an area of contact between different climates, climatological, relief and pedological entities. All this results in exceptional biodiversity, which is especially true for the plant life. The Plantwatching program promotes being in nature, a healthy plant-based diet and movement as the main elements of a healthy life. The program takes us through the wonderful world of plants that many people either don't know or have only heard about, but our grandparents knew very well, into the world of plants such as mint, rosemary, thyme, laurel, lavender, asparagus, fennel and many other plants with extremely useful nutritional and medicinal properties. In addition to the mentioned destinations and activities, the program can include a whole series of other destinations of biological and landscape importance.
