The Game of Thrones program includes a tour of the sites in Central Dalmatia where the popular series was filmed. The program includes a tour of filming sites in Split, Klis Fortress, Žrnovnica, Makarska Riviera, Kaštela… as well as visits to other destinations. In addition to stories from this mega popular series, the program includes a presentation of the real history of these locations. In this way, with the help of the participants will get to know Croatian destinations and history, no less interesting than the scenario of the Game of Thrones series. In addition to the topics related to the feature series, Game of Thrones also includes tours of cultural and historical sites, as well as historical workshops and interactive programs. The tours are accompanied by experts who have knowledge of the history of the area.
DAY 1 - Kaštela
Arrival to Dalmatia. Drive to Kastela. Visiting locations where the Game of Thrones series was filmed, accompanied with expert guides. Lunch at the restaurant. Continue driving to the hotel and accommodation in rooms.
DAY 2 - Split
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a local guide, walk and sightseeing of the city center: Diocletian's Palace - a lecture on the real history of the palace and on the one related to the script of the Game of Thrones series. Diocletian’s Palace is one of the most important roman palaces in the world because of its historical significance. A tour around Diocletian’s Palace and medieval part of Split with local tourist guide. Diocletian’s Palace is part of UNESCO protection as a world heritage site. During tour the group will enter St. Domnius Cathedral and Temple of Jupiter (Baptistery of the Cathedral) and visit other main highlights of Split such as: Peristil, Vestibul, Central substructures of Diocletian’s Palace, Golden Gate, Cardo, Decumanus, Pjaca Square, Renaissance clock tower, Fruit Square, Venetian castle are other points of interest. Dinner in one of Split's restaurants. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 - Klis - Sinj
After breakfast drive to another Game of Thrones destination - Klis Fortress. Participation in the Living History of Klis Fortress program. Visitors are greeted by members of the historical military formation "Kliški uskoci", in colorful uniforms and original weapons. Guided through the fortress, they introduce them to the life of the defenders of Klis through history, battles with the Turks, medieval weapons and much more. After visiting the fortress and the museum collection, visitors can try archery and attend (and participate) in the Uskok performance - a duel with swords and spears, while the Uskok diplari will take care of the 'heroic' atmosphere and an unforgettable experience. Continue driving to Sinj. A walk through the city and a tour of the Sinjska Alka Museum with expert guidance. Return to the hotel.
DAY 4 - Žrnovnica - Omiš
After breakfast, drive to Žrnovnica and visit to locations where the Games of Thrones series was filmed. Lecture by a local guide on the history of the place. Continuing drive to Omis. A walk through the city and a boat trip on the river Cetina, from Omiš to Radman’s mills excursion site. There will be held a unique program Traces of Omis Pirates in which participants will learn about the importance of Omis pirates, their way of life and struggle. The Radman's Mill picnic area is located in a unique location in a canyon on the banks of the Cetina River. Lunch in the restaurant made from local specialties. Return to the hotel.
DAY 5 - Makarska Riviera
Breakfast. Drive to Makarska Riviera, one of the most beautiful parts of the Mediterranean. A drive past the many towns that settled on the edge of the sea and the magnificent mountain Biokovo. A tour of the locations where the famous series was filmed. Going to the unique new attraction Skywalk on the slopes of Biokovo. Seafood lunch in one of the restaurants on the Riviera. Return to the hotel.
DAY 6 - Island of Brač
Breakfast is followed by a ride to the port of Split and a ferry to Supetar on the island of Brac. A walk through the city and a drive through the interior of the island with a stop in Škrip, the oldest settlement on Brač. Lunch in one of the island's restaurants, with traditional specialties of the island of Brac. Continue driving to Bol, the place where Zlatni rat, the most famous beach on the Croatian coast, is located. Accommodation in a hotel.
DAY 7 - Bol - Island Hvar
Free time to enjoy the Bol beach Zlatni rat. Going on a boat trip to the island of Hvar. Drive to the town of Hvar and a tour of the cultural and historical sights of the town with expert guidance. Return to Bol.
DAY 8 - Split
Breakfast and return to Split. End of service.
